Well I was out mudding and afterwards my driver side window decides to come off the track as I'm rolling it up. I got it to go up but had to inch it up and pull and yank on it.
My question is, is this easy to put back in place? I already have been inside the door a couple times so I know it's easy to take the panel off and whatnot. Just wondering if it'll be an easy fix to put the window back in the track. Or do I have to pull the whole window motor assembly out? If it's fairly easy I'll just pull the whole thing out anyways and clean/lube it.
Thanks and sorry if there's a writeup but I couldn't find anything really.

Well I took it all apart just now. Turns out one of the roller knobs that slides in the track on the scissor assembly is missing so it keeps coming off track. Think I need a whole new assembly. Unless IF someone knows if I can get the little roller knob by itself?? I'll post a few pics later too.

I doubt you can. Usualy those sort of things come as complete assemblies. May be a good salvage yard project.

Check rockauto.com too. I know they sell the full assemblies for pretty cheap

Wtf? $7 for the regulator!? Wholesale inventory it says. Hmm I wonder if they're any good. I priced out a new motor too because mine's starting to burn out anyways. Came out to like $60 after shipping. But I found a whole assembly on eBay for $45 with motor and all and it has a 10 year warrant! Probly just get that. Tight on funds right now.
I'm gonna see if AutoZone has those roller knob things first. My brother seems to think they have em. Maybe in the 'help' section or whatever.

I dealt with this issue when I bought my truck, passenger side window was off track and stuck so I decided to replace the entire regulator & motor from rockauto. Depending on what your situation is, you may have to re-set the window in the two yellow clamps that hold it to the regulator frame. I bought a quick-dry epoxy and got help from a friend to set the window because its tough to get it all lined up by yourself. Just make sure you let the epoxy fully dry before you get all excited to try your new window... (ask how I know)
