My 2015 tacoma double cab made a kazoo like noise on highway with cross wind. I had the windshield re sealed . This did not resolve problem. Tried painters tape on windows still had noise. Last thing I tried was to purchase 1/4 inch drip irrigation tubing the soft rubber type. I placed this in groove in top and front of door seals. I have had no noise since even with 50 mph cross winds. Toyota must have gone cheap on door seals.

I still haven't been able to completely silent mine. I've been adding weatherstripping, but it's still beating me.

Not to throw the thread off course; I wish I had more "wind" coming out of my a/c vents.

Someone just posted a thread where a TSB was issued to solve the issue on 2nd gens.

    I'll try to find it.

Opening post mentions 1/4" tubing. The stuff I see in the photo looks bigger? Did you use a sealer of any kind or merely fit it in along side the existing sealer?
    Maybe you're referring to the tubing's I.D. vs. O.D.

At present the tubing is just laying in the fold of door seal. I have had it there for 2 weeks. Doesn't move

I linked the information to the TSB. I'll quote it below.

It's a known issue. Go get it taken care of at the dealership.

I have a similar problem except it is with my back sliding window. The rubber seals don't have a tight enough seal and it whistles like crazy when I have the heater/AC on... the higher the fan speed, the louder the whistle. I noticed that if I turn the system to recirculate instead of fresh air the noise goes away because it is not drawing the outside air and de-pressurizes the cab. I took some foam gap filler from Home Depot, cut it to length and presto, the noise is gone. So for $3 I took care of an annoying noise related to a window I never use (even though it is still operational), until I eventually need or choose to replace the window.

I tried the irrigation line in the existing seal and it made the door much harder to shut, and as a result put a lot more pressure on the latch. Not something I cared for.

I tried it and it didn't even make the sound go away!

So now I'm at the point if I drive below 40mph I have a needle bearing vibe and if I drive over 60mph I have wind whistling around the doors. I love my truck though. :)

Wasn't there a front hood seal "mod" some time ago that helped with a "kazoo/wind noise"??

If there was, it was wrong. The kazoo comes from the sides of the vehicle.

Yep, I have that noise that sounds like a straw moving up slowly in a cup with a plastic lid. My wife literally put a sock in it and shut it up. The passenger side door window. I’m going to Toyota to get the material to fix it.
