So I bought a set of 245/75r17 Michelin LTXs off FB marketplace a couple weeks ago. I’ve looked the tires up and down, no dry rot, good tread depth, and they’re only a couple years old. I’m finally getting an appointment to have them mounted this Friday but I’m not sure if Tire Kingdom will mount used tires. I asked a lady in their corporate if they would and she said they would as long as they were brand new but I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to anyone at the actual shop yet. Anyone have any experience with this? Should I get a different place to do my mounting? The main reason I picked tire kingdom is because I’m also going to need an alignment and oil change and I thought I could kill 3 birds with one stone.

As long as they are less than 5 years old, have no obvious damage, and have more than 5/32" tread depth remaining, no shop should have issues with mounting up tires you bring in.

People do it all the time when switching from winters to summers.

If the shop doesn't want to take your money, that's their loss.

This. I've had shops in the past who refused to mount tires you didn't buy from them - regardless of age/condition. I have no interest in dealing with a shop that has a policy like that. Personally, if a shop wouldn't mount them I wouldn't be giving them my $$ for alignment and oil change and I'd be finding a new shop.

I called tire kingdom in Jacksonville and told them my name was Oscar and I'm bringing in a set of used rubbers and they gonna mount them. They said I was banned from the store and would call the police if I show up.

This was on Google . If the tires are over 6 years old , never use them. Many deadly accidents are because the tires are too old.

just be aware. And be safe.
