Will the DECKED system work with just half the deck?

Does anyone know if the DECKED system will work with just half the platform? The platform itself looks like it'll split in half(ish). I'm wondering if removing one side would still make it function properly.

The reason for this is to carry a motorcycle to track days and still keep storage. Loading the bike up on the platform could be an option, but it would make the bike too tall for my taste. So the empty space would be perfect for a wheel chock and a motorcycle. But before bitting the bullet and spending that much money, I rather know beforehand if it'll work.

the decked system mounts in the bed in each corner using the bed tie down points so I'm going to go with no.

 

Theoretically it could work but as Shellshock mentioned our system is mounted to the 4 corners of the truck bed with the existing factory tie-downs. If you ever wanted to just use half of the system you would need to bolt it to the bed down the center and these types of customizations would void our warranty as it is not how the product is intended to be used.

I just had the same thought as S2kon2 but w/o the motorcycle. I want to install the passenger-side half of the system to create a step up into the sleeping platform of a wildernest while maintaining full clearance into the topper on the driver-side for climbing in/out of the bed of the truck. Has there been any evolution of the product in the last 3 years that would make the half-install possible? Why can't I just mount half the system to the 2 tie downs on that side?
