just recently lifted my front end 2 inches and had it realigned.. it crossed my mind if I lift the rear 1" inch with cast iron blocks does that affect the alignment I just did... in any way??

Lifting the rear won't mess up your alignment

No, the rear suspension is a solid axle and also not involved in steering, so generally doesn’t need to be aligned after a modification like yours. However you might need to realign the draft shaft because it’s angle changes when you lift the rear. You might be safe with only 1”. I lifted mine 2” and added a carrier bearing drop kit to adjust the drive shaft angle.

I never had any vibration problems. I installed the spacer at the same time as the rest of the kit I bought from Headstrong.

I was told with a 1-in rear block lift I wouldn't need it but I figured it won't hurt

What’s the rule of thumb for needing a carrier bearing drop kit? I’m looking into installing the 1.5” AAL from HS.

I saw where you said 1” might be safe, but you installed one for a 2” lift.

My understanding is it varies from truck to truck and you wont know for sure until you drive it post lift. If you get vibes you can try carrier bearing drop (like $20 and 15 minutes) or axle shims (more work).

You don’t need to realign, but people telling you it won’t effect it are kinda incorrect. It WILL absolutely effect your caster angle. Now 1” in the back the effect will be minimal on caster, and it won’t effect any other parts of alignment specs, so nothing to really worry about. but caster is super important with tire size & width you may run over or under stock sizing.

I don’t know. My kit from headstrong came with one and I installed it. It was probably the easiest part of the install, albeit made harder because i did it late at night after a long day of wrenching.

Have you had any vibration issues?

If it comes with the kit, then I’ll probably just install it and see how it goes. Worse case I can always remove it later.
