I see used leer campers for sale off fords every day here in Texas and I’m wondering If a ford lid would actually fit my truck. I have a double cap long bed. See profile photo. I see on leer website for at the 100r for example is compatible with tacoma and f150. Does leer make their 100 series lids in multiple sizes like 2” increments or is it a standard size.

Plus it would lower value, and might make the truck less dependable

Doubts aside does anyone know where to find measurement data from leer.

Any Leer dealership will have measurements.

It won't fit, there's no way. You need to match height, width, depth, and depth of the edges the topper sits on.

Furthermore, the hatch has to match. The back lip of the gen 3 is curved, so even the gen 2 topper won't fit right or close on a gen 3.

Back in the day, 1970's and 80's full size trucks with 8' beds were all the same sizes. At the time short bed Chevy and Dodge were the same but short bed Fords were 2" longer. Since about the 1990's everything is different. Occasionally you'll find something close enough that it doesn't look bad.

But in this case even if the length were the same the Ford will be considerably wider. I don't have to measure, I have an F-150 and Tacoma in the driveway. It ain't even close.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Double no -- unless you want your truck to look like it just left "Sanford & Sons" junkyard.
Oops -- I just dated myself with that comment. BTW that was a great TV show.

It would fit a Tundra. They have the same dimensions as an Ford. Not going to work for the Tacoma.

The reason I know is my buddy borrows my Tundra Soft Topper to use on his F150.

It's also 6" wider give or take than a Tacoma
