Title is my question - my buddy just bought a new to him 2012 trd sport. He said he might be interested in tradi me his rear color matched bumper for my 2011 chrome bumper. Any one know if this is a match?

Yes. Anything from 2005 to 2015 in any sort of combination will work, inside those years.

haha nice dude. I just searched this same thing before I finalize everything cuz itd be a waste of both our time shipping it across the country and you not be able to use it. Glad we're on the same page. I was 99% sure but wanted verification.

yupp, good call. I figured, due to design, the front wouldnt work.

Having said that, I have a front MGM bumper 2011 if anyone needs one haha

Well the thread title is rear bumper.. ;)

Fronts obviously don't interchange across the decade. 2005-2011. 2012-2015.

    Welcome.

Mine was tight also, needed to persuade it with a few hard hits to get it to fit, and it was the same bumper I just took off the truck 20 minutes before that. Not sure if that super tight fitment is normal or specific to Tacoma/Toyota but it was a bit of a puzzler for me for a few minutes. Seemed like it wasn't the right bumper.
