You will need to modify the bracket a little but it will bolt it

I just did this. Swapped some 4runner cloth seats w/ bottom tilt adjust and lumbar. Only the two brackets on the passenger side seem to work. Once you line up and smash in the front driver bracket so it is 90 degree like on the stock taco ones it will mess up the integrity of the bracket and the rear driver will be sitting way too high to even stack washers or some other janky setup. I opted to cut off both driver side brackets and use some 1/4" plate and gusset those so they're stronger than factory. Better safe than sorry in an accident imo.

Thanks burro. So I understand- are you saying this applies only to drivers side seat? Does the passenger side seat fit OK or do you have to modify both seats?
Also, is there any way I can personal message a member on here?

    Canada, just south of Santa
    Vehicle:
    98 tacoma 4x4 extended cab
5100's all around, 2.75 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed 285-75-16 goodyear AT
I installed 4runner seats in my 98 and had no problems, 2 of the attachment locations had to be massaged and forced a bit but the seats fit just fine and much more comfortable than the stock ones.

But mine is an 02...would anyone know if 02 and 98 seats bolt patterns are the same?
