    Or maybe a better question...if i run 275s
Can i use the 265 spare for temporary emergency or should i replace it with a 275?

Yes. 285/70r17. No cutting or bending of brackets, just took my time when cranking it up to make
sure it went where I wanted, and would clear the rear diff housing to the front and exhaust to the side.

I’ve seen a lot of 285 mounted underneath no problem. Trying to figure out if i can Fit my 295 in the stock spare location. Haven’t seen anyone do it so I’ve been questioning it for sometime. Anyone have any insight on it or even better, some pictures. Thanks

i know some cars used to have compact spare tires that were slightly smaller in diameter. The 275 tires is about 1.5" larger in diam. than the stock ones, so i would think it would be ok to run for a short while til you can find a tire shop.

I'm running 275 BFGs and still have my stock spare. But if i went any bigger, or went on extended off road trips, i would look for a full size spare

If you’re completely stuck and it’s all you have i think You can but it’s not recommended. It will trip sensors and maybe mess up your diff. I might Be completely wrong but someone told me to keep it in 2wd if you do that.

You will want to turn your traction control off when you drive. The truck is going to think you are losing traction and compensate.

Sorry to jump onto an old thread but anybody have idea if 285/75/17 will fit under? I’ve cut exhaust at turn down so I could take out that shield.
