So TW recommenced Falken Wildpeaks to me and that’s what I think I’m going to end up going with (instead of KO2’s) but I see that in the 265/75 size there is the option of a SL and E1 load range, I will be doing 95% road driving so I’m assuming that I will want to go with the SL load but wanted to get some other input before I pulled the trigger and end up with the wrong type of tire, any help with this would be appreciated

E is overkill for 98 percent of all Tacoma's. I assume SL is good for you, but don't know how hard you are on tires.

I have 285/70/17 wildpeaks in SL. There a nice tire. No trouble balancing, not loud and a nice ride. I go wheeling here n there.. overall a nice tire

The E rating is primarily for the purpose of carrying heavier loads, as in 3/4 ton and heavier trucks. The SL or a P rated tire will carry more weight than your truck is rated for so from that perspective E rated tires are unnecessary on a Tacoma. But a side benefit of E rated tires are much tougher sidewalls. If anyone does any off road driving, especially in rocky terrain E rated tires are a good idea. Lighter duty tires are more easily damaged resulting in flat tires.

The only real downside is cost. E rated tires are stiffer and will provide a stiffer ride if inflated to the normal 50-85 PSI that E rated tires are inflated to on 3/4 ton and heavier trucks. But since the sidewalls are stiffer, they don't really need that much air in a Tacoma. Generally if you keep the air pressure to about 30-35 PSI when unloaded, 40-45 when carrying heavy loads, the ride isn't bad at all and they will wear evenly. You just have to experiment with air pressure.

But it sounds like you'll be just fine saving a little money and going with the SL tire.

This and depending on the trim level, the recommended pressure is typically around 35 PSI^

I'll add that SL (or P) is what comes factory.
