Given both are newer tires, im having trouble finding good reviews specifically between these tires. Looking to bump up in size to 265/75r16 on an all stock ‘21 off road. It’ll be 98% on road driving and I’m mostly worried about wet/snow traction in the northeast. The at4’s are also 5lbs heavier than the coopers so I’m curious how much mpg that’ll cost me and if I’ll notice that weight on acceleration. The coopers are also $172 cheaper after rebate. I love the look of the at4’s but I’m having trouble eating that extra cost. Any thoughts or recommendations??

    Thank you!

I'm a fan. I'm on my second set of Wildpeaks. Wet traction is very good. Road noise is a bit much for people, but I just turn up my radio. ;)

SOrry, no experience with the coopers.

While I haven’t had either of the 2 tires you mention I’m going to make a suggestion to check out a completely different set of tires that will meet all your needs and then some. They are the Hercules TerraTrac AT X-Venture made by Cooper. Between my Tundra and my Taco I’m now on my 4th set. Just got the 4th set a couple months ago. They have a 60,000 mile warranty and a 2 year road hazards warranty. You ruin a tire within 2 years for any reason, it’s replaced free. They are all season tires with the 3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake certification. I’ve driven them in everything but sand.
    My experience -
Pavement - quiet and excellent grip, traction.
Rain, wet pavement- great traction, never any hydroplaning.
Snow - 3PMS Certification, I’ve driven in snow in the Sierras, Nevada, Utah, Montana and Idaho, performed well, no problems, never needed to chain up.
Off Road - I spend a lot of time off road hunting and fishing, dirt and gravel forest roads, rough rutted logging roads, steep rocky 4wd roads, never a problem. They get me there and back 100% of the time.
You can probably find these for $60 to $100 cheaper per tire than the tires you are considering.
If these weren’t really great tires I wouldn’t be on my 4th set. Check them out.

Yesterday morning I ended up pulling the trigger on the Road + Trails. $600 after discounts and a rebate for just the tires. I found some good reviews and I’ll report back after they get some usage. I’ll keep those Hercules tires in mind for next time though for sure!

I put 265/75/16 Road + Trails on mine about a month ago and I am very happy with them. They are quiet on the road (especially quiet compared to my ST MAXXs that I took off).

Great to hear, they came in today. I think I can pull another month or so out of my OEMs but damn it’ll be hard to wait!

I ran an older set of cooper discoverer in 285/65/16 on my truck and really liked them.

After going back and forth on what tire & tire size I decided to go with the Cooper R/T A/T in 275/75/R17, 32in x 10in. I'm VERY happy with the "pizza cutters" and they don't look that much narrower than the stock Toyo ATs. After 1K of mileage, I'm more than satisfied with this tire & size. Quiet, smooth, aggressive look...yes, yes, and yes. Gas mileage...no difference, as a matter of fact I might be getting better gas mileage. My truck is still running stock shocks and no lift, but these tires give the truck ample lift to accommodate the type of off-roading I do (air down and float over the desert trails of Plaster City & Superstition Mtns in the Imperial Valley, CA.) Can’t remember if this is a user on here or instagram, but the Coopers do look better than the stock photos. Not as aggressive as some of the other AT’s. They are on my radar to replace my Wildpeaks.

After seeing the pics that Dr. Doom posted, I'm glad I went with the Cooper R/T A/T. @ Dr. Doom, once your Wildpeaks are ready to retire, I think you'll be very happy with the Coopers.

Finally mounted these today and I think they look great. Definitely better than I expected. Cooper Road + Trail 265 75 16. The alignment machine was down but the truck is tracking straight. Think it’s necessary to still get an alignment??

@ racerrmh - After the Cooper R & T's were mounted I took a a lengthy drive on the freeway just to see if an alignment was necessary. The answer was 'no', then again my truck is still running stock suspension. During the 'test drive' there was only the slightest movement to the right but that was happening when I had the stock Toyos. Got up to 80 mph and smooth as silk! I'm getting close to the 5K balance/rotation so I'll know more if an alignment is needed. These tires do look great and the ride is even better! Great all-around tire...I know you'll be happy with your decision to go with the Cooper R & T!!

I’ll be curious to see how they handle the snow but right now I’m very pleased. Much quieter than expected.

Did your previous tires wear perfectly evenly? If yes and your truck tracks straight currently you probably don’t need an alignment. If previous uneven wear get it aligned. You should probably have it aligned every 2 to 4 years anyway. .

Appreciate the help. I just had it done to be safe. I’ve had the truck for 3 1/2 years now so why risk it for only $100
