Are they made in Canada? Or is this a Canadian company with overseas manufacturing? If the second case (and you are OK with that, but still looking to support a Canadian company) you could have a look at Treeline Outdoors

They are designed in Canada (Company is based in Turner Valley.... Just south of Calgary), but get the tents manufactured overseas.

I have looked at their tents too they are more expensive and don't come with the annex room or some of the features the wild coast one seems to have.

I assume wild coast is made offshore as well but at least its canadian business and I dont have to ship accross the boarder, I have tones of stuff stuck in blaine already from last year at my PO box and anything we ship cross boarder costs a ton in import fees and taxes.

I like the design of the wild coast one but was looking for more info on quality information.

I decided to pull the pin on it this weekend, got a good commission check that sealed the deal for me!

I will post back after we use it in a few weeks just in case other people are curious.

I guess I will find out then, I saw a decent review from north shore offroad that says they have used it for years and they have been selling tents for 7 years.

I scraped the paint off my right rear wheel moulding and then fixed it. That's my modding so far
I can't use a top mounted tent system due to my dogs but I am looking at figuring out an ultimate, for the way we camp, tent system for us. The problem with a truck tent is I have a 5ft bed and I want a full size tent.

    Working on it

Finally saw my my co-worker who has the wild coast roof top tent. He put it to some heavy use over the summer and has held up well. He said their customer service was top notch ( I guess just a small outfit). He had the same thoughts as you when doing his research he was stoked to buy from a small Canadian company.

his only note to a future buyer would be to get the top of the line model (something about having more mesh, or being open to the stars) but they were sold out when he purchased his.

hope this helps. Let us know what you end up with

well I ordered the sandpiper... they have one called the sundogs that has skylights that was a bit more with an extra led strip but wasn't in stock until may/june.. it shipped from nova scotia last week and was supposed to be in nanaimo on wednsday but the truck still hasnt arrived at the day and ross depot, we were going to test it out this weekend but I guess it will have to wait until next weekend. Thats no fault of wild coast it is coming from the opposite side of the country to an island off the coast of Vancouver.

once I get it mounted up and use it I will post back and let people know my thoughts.
