I don't see much about these posted here. I'm debating getting the race version for my truck. Seems like a decent solution to moving the tire out the way.

    Has anyone used them?

Ha! That's the other one I've seen. They are coming out with both models for the 2016 in a couple weeks. I might go with the race one.

I took mine off and I like it better.

Mainly because I can't see anything with it on. It's nice to be able to use my rear view mirror again.

Plus I have to show off my bed cage and sweet shocks. Haha

I need to do something with my spare. So it's either one of these or a bumper and tire carrier. Which would probably be better so I can use the top on trips.

Yeah I understand that. I need a bumper.with swinging too. My truck is too tall with the tire on top. Is your truck put together yet?

Hell no. Not even close. I'm pretty disappointed in the whole thing. I just need to get over this latest project. Too many things going on.

That wouldn't be a bad idea. MPGs would take a hit.. but 35's already so F it.
Just get to the spare from the bed. Hmmmm.. mount a Roller track on a prisnu and slide it right down to you.
Wonder how that would look on roof...

That could work too. Anything would help, especially since my tire is about 115lbs

How is that? I was thinking of getting one just because I love the look. Currently rolling on stocks, would it look dumb with one of those?

Where did you get yours? All I seem to find are ones that mount directly to the floor

Bumping this because I plan on getting one but the price for the 3rd gen model is ridiculous. Does it really need to be 50%+ more expensive than the 2nd gen version? Is there a Wilco rep on the forum that can explain this?

How does the Wilco tiregate mount to the truck? Can you still go back and forth between it and the tailgate?

    Yes, you can.
There are some reinforcement plates that go on. You can mount the verticle ones to open up from either side. And the prerunner version you can have the tire mounted onboard or outboard.

It's pretty simple to switch between tailgate/tiregate.

Do you have pictures of it? My gut steal the design for DIY, not feeling the price tag on these
