Anyone know if you can or of anyone who has rigged a Wi-Fi camera for monitoring cargo in the bed.

for instance to watch dogs don’t chew on luggage or to see if things shift around etc?

    Is it even possible?

Yes there are ways of doing it, but it's a solution to problems you shouldn't have in the first place.

    Always secure your cargo.

Put your dogs in travel safe kennels and then secure the kennels.

2CH dash cam watches cargo in the bed, but you only get to see it after it's happened.

Wifi to the head unit would probably be impossible without some extra adapter converting to rca. Using your own monitor /receiver sure why not.

But there are probably better solutions.

I have a front dash cam and rear dash camera. Tapped into the fuse of the cigarette socket and installed 12v sockets underneath the dash.

Learn knot tying and strap use. Then you don't need a camera. Dogs should be inside or in a kennel if in back.

You could get the anytimebackupcamera kit and out the "front" camera somewhere in the back. Simple switch displays it in the head unit

Yes its possible and its real easy. Purchase one of these camera controls along with a camera from Amazon or ebay and instead of mounting the camera in the front grille, like most of us are doing, mount the camera in the bed of the truck.

Best thing about this setup is that you can watch the live video on your factory stereo display even while you're driving.

Trust me you'll like, perhaps even love it. I'm running the Germes control and love how it operates with the factory steering wheel switches.

There is an empty plug on the floor towards the rear of the passenger seat on the floorboard that you can use to run the camera wires to the bed. Well it should be empty unless you have the remote tailgate lock but even if you do have the tailgate lock you should be able to run the bed camera wiring through the same hole, then underneath the passenger side door sill, then up the passenger side kick panel, and finally behind the dash to the back of the radio.

Ok awesome! I do have the power tailgate lock… but that makes sense for routing.
