    Hey all,

I've got a 2015 TRD OR DCSB, Towing Package and Reg. Entune with Nav., no JBL or Subwoofer. I am looking for a switch blank to remove to install a double USB charger and I find the blank that I pull is wired. What is this harness and does it need to remain attached to back of this blank?

Is it to hold the wiring for what switch is normally installed there?

For example, my Tacoma didn't have the overhead temp/compass display, but it was wired for it. All I had to do was buy a console off Ebay, and a thermometer sensor from the dealer, and plug both in.

I didn't think '15s had a seat heater option? I've had the truck since new so it's not an add on.

The limited Tacos came with heated seats. The components from Toyota are stupidly expensive, so don't get the idea that you can just buy the OEM components and plug them in to get heated seats.

No, that wasn't the plan. Just looking for a blank to add more USB chargers. Guess I'll just unplug that harness.

Harness isnt plugged into anything, the blank just holds the plug.

Actually like a lot of the other “ blanks” the harness is live IE: hit it with a multi meter and you will prob find switched pwr, ground and illumination/dimmer all live in that molex. The pwr may be the only thing not live if the seat heaters have a dedicated fuse and the fuse is not there.

Dedicated fuse location is in the little fuse box next to the big fuse box in the engine bay. Mine doesn't have the spade terminals or anything in the place it should and I have the same config as OP.

Yep, bottom right corner. That pic has the gold spade connectors in place. Mine doesn't have them. Did some digging a while back, and it seems Toyota was trying to phase out a wire harness or something because it was real hit or miss whether people had it or not.
