Just wondering why they use drum brakes on the rear. Every vehicle I’ve ever had had 4 disks.

Because no brakes in the rear would be dangerous.

Toyota is trying to see how much people are willing to pay for a vehicle equipped with drum brakes. I think they could get up to 70k.

Does the tundra have atrac, crawl control and other little gizmos that rely on the braking system?

unless you're towing something heavy, you probably can't tell the difference between drums in the rear or discs, so what does it matter?

Don't ask me. I'm the clown who thought that stuff wouldn't work with drum brakes!

Many Toyota/Lexus models have atrac gizmos plus 4 wheel disc brakes. All the Lexus model trucks have rear disc brakes. Shoulda bought a Lexus. :D

Could of got a frontier that has 4 wheel disk.:notsure:
They work just fine and most of the stopping force comes from the front anyhow. You can invest in rear disc however it’s kinda pricey.
