I have a 4x125w amp. With the stock (non-jbl) speakers, the rear speakers had surprisingly good bass. After upgrading to Infinity Kappa 60CSX components, there is basically no bass below about 125Hz. Even using a tone generator, messing with the amps 32ch EQ, I just can't get any bass out of them.

My doors have lots of dynomat in them but are otherwise stock. What could be the problem?

I have the samer series of component speakers in the front, but 6x9 and they are AMAZING! The base on them is so good that I got rid of my 10" sub. I know 6x9s will have better bass but my rear speakers are soo much worse than stock that something isn't right.

Also, I have 12awg wire running from the amp directly to the speaker. I also messed with the polarity of each speaker with no improvement.

Something is either wired wrong or a setting is wrong could be a filter applied or possibly the woofer and tweeter wires got swapped by accident

What amp are you using and have you tried swapping front and rear to see if it's just those channels without bass?

Is it possible that these speakers just don't sound good in a given door/enclosure?

Just try rewiring it again from scratch. Infinity is a good speaker

You might just have to get a subwoofer.

Good luck & take your time :)

I installed it WITH the crossover. You're right, the 2" and 1" speaker are not installed. I think you could be on to something

How are you getting signal from your HU? Are you pulling rear speaker signal from the HU to the amp?

Are you running a HP filter on the rear doors?

Secondly is soundstaging. In most cases you don't really want the rears banging the same as the fronts as you want the sound in the front of your cab. It's almost best you don't hear them too much.

i would take off the crossover, as its main purpose is to protect the tweeter. if you're not running the tweeter, it has no benefit. they'll be 4-ohm speakers.

you've already checked that the amp crossover switches are bypassed?

125hz is very high, my rear speakers were hitting close to 60-80hz, but still not great. it's why i disconnected them and ran full active in the front.
