Who out there uses E15 in their truck? I happened to see it at the gas station where I usually fill up. I saw it was 10 cents cheaper that regular. Pros/cons? Benefits?

Was about to say you need a special engine for E-15.

Glad to see you didn't use it lol.

Yeah I was skeptical about it. Just seems like bs to me. On the pump it says "for vehicles 2001 and up" Its right next to an E85 pump also

I've read that anything after 2012 could run e15 but I wouldn't run it in anything that's not specifically flex fuel even though it's not a huge difference from regular gas with up to 10%. As for a performance increase i don't believe e15 is going to make a difference. Tuning a boosted vehicle for e85 on the other hand will definitely make a difference for several reasons.

There are several websites that have listings of gas stations that sell non-corn fuel nationwide. www.pure-gas.org is one.

Isn't California gas some sort of "Oxygenated" gas ?

I just remember something about it when I was driving a semi and had to go to Cali. My company didn't like us getting much Diesel in Cali. because of the reformulated fuel, and I kinda remember hearing that the gas there was a different formulation then most of the rest of the country as well. But, I could be wrong about that. it's been about 7 years since I was out there...

Lets just say... cali gas sucks.... dont leave it in a carb for more than a week otherwise you are gonna be cleaning that carb. There is a reason all of my motorcycles now are fuel injected. I replaced the carb'd dirtbike with a WR450F, and the 125cc CT70 chinese clone i use for camp trips with a Honda Grom 125 as the grom n WR are both fuel injected, and the big street bike is a honda 919 which is fuel injected as well. My old dirbike (CRF250X) had its carb out and cleaned so many damn times cus the cali gas sucks asssssss!

I checked the cap and it says no E20 thru E85 but says E15 is acceptable, but i still don't like the idea of it.

I don't think I'll be using it. If there were clear benefits of using it, then I'd consider it. Maybe there's people out there who use it and see a difference

One can never have too many light bars.
CA gas also has about a 27 cents per gallon excise tax. So If I was running a trucking company I would definitely try to push my drivers to fill up in other states if possible.

    frickin alcohol

    no benefit except emissions

unless you are high compression. then, alcohol has higher octane won't knock at pressures which
would knock straight gasoline. so the only benefit is if you have a motor that operates in a way that high
octane/low energy fuel is a good thing. these tacomas can run on 87, a clear indicator they will
not benefit much in performance from e(anything) except reduce knock

for these regular motors, e(anything) blows goats
