Long time lurker here, so I've been curious to know people don't run LC 80 wheels 16x8..... until last night. I installed some 285/75/r16 Coopers and installed them on the truck. The rears were fine, but turns out the front calipers contact the wheels and don't even budge. So I got some spidertrax 1.25" same day shipping (thank you Amazon prime) and installed them this evening, and now they rub my body mounts. On full lock :annoyed:

Coming from 285/70/17 on Procomp 1069 17x9 no rubbing issues.

Without the spacers they dont seem to rub, but then again the wheels dont rotate. Curious to ask if anyone would be able to give me some insight on if some bora .75 or 1 inch spacers would help my situation. Ill upload photos tomorrow when theres daylight. Thanksss

I like the first set of rims...the pro comps. Those fzj80 wheels look fugly on your second gen, like it's in the wrong decade and out of place. The fzj80 would be good for wheelin where no one can see you  Just my thoughts.

The Pro Comps do look a lot better.

 I'm so tired of the pro comps, I had them on the accesscab and on the dbl, when I'm out of tread on these LC80 wheels I might change them.

Part of of it is the color. The dark wheels look good on the silver. Have you thought about maybe powdercoating the FZJ80 wheels?

I'm definitely painting these wheels, I probably should've mentioned that. I'm missing one center cap so I've been trolling online looking for one, meanwhile I'm deciding on dark grey like the pro comps or just black. Not sure I want to use the caps yet, but I'd like to have 4 of them if I decide to.

I think anthracite/gunmetal would look good, but of course I'm partial....

Sorry to revive this thread, but what did you end up doing to have the FZJ80 wheels to fit, I may be picking up a set this weekend, but maybe reconsider if it’ll be a pain in the ass to make them work. I figured they would fit since they’re 16” just like the stock TRD OR wheels.
