At zero percent financing I left the cash in the bank to earn some free money.

I have resolved to live debt free but the dealer asked that I finance the truck to be able to give me a great price. So I paid off the truck in 2 payments.

I got a fairly basic regular-cab, partly because I love regular cabs but also because it was pretty reasonably priced, sub $19K. I also traded in a Jeep Wrangler and got a decent trade for that from the dealership, so only had to pony up about $8K in cash.....which I did. No vehicle payments for me! I'm trying hard to become totally debt free. I hope to have the relatively small balance owning on my mortgage paid within a few years, that's my only debt, and then my goal is to remain forever debt-free!!

had a 4 year long running bet with my dad...long story short, he lost, hence my truck was fully paid for before we even drove off the lot.

Special ordered my truck when they first came out and paid cash. Told the fleet manager what I would pay and they accepted. Felt good to pay cash for a vehicle. Took me until I was almost 40 though to get to that point. :D
