Yeah, that's me. There's only so much partying and hair gel one can handle in their life, so now I read about blown out BP-51's, and sell suspension! :spending:

ARB called me yesterday to say they were shipping out my replacement shocks. IMG_0950.jpg24 hours later.

    Well that’s good service.
I have had my 51s on for about 10k so far. No leaks. But my coil over lower shock mounts are already bad. The ball inside has a good amount of play. Anyone else deal with this? I’m in the process now of talking with ARB

I remember seeing this from someone else a while back. His were severely corroded from winter salt application or something.

Hi I’m looking hard at bp51s and I’m wondering if you guys had any more feedback? Are they substantially better off road than stock? My old truck had icons but the ARB is even more expensive so just checking your opinions.

This is my first experience with "high" performance suspension on a 4x4. I can say when I switched to 5100's from stock it was a notable difference and then going to these it was a huge difference over the 5100's. I picked these after riding in 2 JK's one was Icon stage 5 and the other was BP's.

Awesome. I have had 5100s, currently have eibach pros “Like 5100” and the icons on my old truck. Icons were beefy but ride wasn’t amazing or anything. I appreciate your input!

Two years with my BP51s. 6 months ago the lower mounts seized up on the front shocks. Had the bearings and bushings replaced by ARB. It trashed one of my lcas. Now they seem to be leaking. Only the shock itself from the exposed shafts down to the lower mount is covered in the oil. Nothing else on any other suspension component has fluid on them. Wiped it off and it came back.

Sent an email to ARB. They've helped me out many times in the past and I don't expect any less this time around, but this is disappointing because I don't even take my truck off road very often.

Update on my leaking shocks. ARB sent me two brand new front coilovers. I'm bummed that the first set had multiple issues, but their customer service has never let me down.

I'm assuming they required you to ship them back the defective ones?

I think the issues are more so with the earlier production batches. I bought mine in early 2017, but they were produced in late 2016. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again especially if you can still buy the complete kit with free spc ucas.

It's very good suspension, but the quality issues would steer me away from buying another set. I don't drive the Tacoma as much anymore, but one of the rear BP51s has developed a small leak near the res hose. I contacted ARB a few months ago and have never heard back from them.

Buy something else. I had all 4 fail at least once. I’ve heard that there have been some changes made to them since but I am suspect. It’s really to bad because the ride was fantastic when they worked. Spend a bit more for higher end components from someone else.
