Does Scosche even make a black kit? I just installed the Metra kit in my 08, and like many others on here, I am less than thrilled with the outcome. Crutchfield has a money back guarantee, so if I can get a black Scosche kit and it looks better, I'll swap.

Also, does anyone have any pictures of their black kit? A quick search only yielded silver...

    Thanks!

Idea, since I do not believe they make one in black.

Step 1) Buy the scosche kit

    Step 2)Buy krylon spray paint
Step 2A) make sure to choose your favorite color

Step 3)Hang it off a tree branch

Step 4)spray paint it, making sure your not pointing the can at yourself, and that your are spraying into the prevailing winds.

Step 5) make sure you cover it with nice even amount of paint (no dripping)

    Step 6)let air dry

Step 7)inspect finish, is it good enough? if yes, install, if not, apply another coat.

Step 8) don't listen to me, I'm not a painter.

But seriously, if you like the quality of the scosche kit, and want it to be a differant color, I would think it wouldnt be too hard to paint it.

Maybe I'm missing something - I think the krylon spraypaint would hold up well, but I've never used it. It supposedly "bonds" with plastics.

Yeah, I've thought of that. The problem is I'm anal with a free-time shortage.

However, I did find a place to sell me a black one...they listed it as black, but we'll see if it really is or not.

Hmm, interesting, if indeed they do sell a black one, then that would be news to me. Hopefully it is. I hear you about the free time shortage.
