Here in Alberta the snow has started to melt with unprecedented warm temperatures for late January and February. I've begun putting pen to paper to plan this years mid-summer 10 to 14 day overland trip to the Northwest Territories.

In doing so, I've been talking to a few other guys who might be interested in tagging along and I've found myself contemplating the inevitable sleeping quarters. Of course I have an oversized 4-person tent which requires at least 2-people to construct it, or my favourite, Hennessy Hammock tent (expedition zip)...

Of course I've been doing research and watching videos on rooftop tents and contemplating if the price justifies the sleep and vice versus. And there are many many options out there on which type of tent, fabric, construction, hard shell v soft shell, wedge or traditional rectangular. And I find myself wondering what direction I should go ???

The one thing I am trying to aim for is buying local (Canadian Made) as the dollar exchange to the US is a bit steep at this particular time.

Anyone out there in Canada have an opinion on the following companies rooftop tents?
