I took a [small] risk and ordered a set of Whiteline UCAs for my 3rd gen Tacoma based on feedback from my lift installation shop and various Toyota forums.

CSP Racing in West Chester, PA has be best price I've seen to date (link to product page).
I paid $321.99 out-the-door (no tax in CA, free shipping, and no coupon needed)

For those wondering about Whiteline, they are an Australian suspension and bushing manufacturer. I believe their upper control arms are the exact same arms that a number of other manufacturers rebrand and sell for much higher prices: ARB / OME, Poly Performance, Tough Dog, and Super Pro

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Update as of 3/17/24 - These Whiteline UCAs are no longer in stock anywhere at this time. The 4 or 5 sets went fast after posting this! CSPracing.com did drop their price by $10, down to $310, but it shows "special order only", and Whiteline.com shows "pre-order only" (4-6 weeks to ship)

Update as of 3/16/24 - I received the Whiteline UCAs from CSP Racing within 3 days! Very happy with the fast, free shipping (from Reno, NV). Now, I just need to get them installed.

    Pricing as of 3/15/24:
    - Whiteline retail = $500 (currently on sale for $400)
    - Poly Performance retail = $450 (Black Friday pricing = $360)
    - ARB / OME retail = ~$594

Thanks for posting. I’m currently shopping for aftermarket UCA and the poly performance were high on my list. They can be found for ~$400, but these Whitelines certain appear to be almost identical for a little less $$.

I just can’t rationalize any performance or strength difference to justify the cost for most of the bigger names out there. They all do essentially the same thing. If my understanding of how an IFS operates, the UCA is somewhat of a place holder and doesn’t really play an active role.

If there’s something I’m missing I would welcome some further education.

I was in the same boat. I don't necessarily need aftermarket UCAs, but still want them to see if they improve the ride and help with alignments. I couldn't justify spending $600 - $1000 for UCAs that essentially do the same thing as a $300 UCA (as far as I can tell). I'm not regularly rock crawling or jumping my truck, so $1000 arms seem like overkill. Also, I see hundreds of trucks running SPC arms on the forums, but also hundreds of posts about balljoint and bushing failures, maintenance/upkeep, and trouble with alignment shops not knowing how to set them properly.

My installation shop said the Whiteline UCAs are identical to the Poly Performance and ARB/OME UCAs, and he recommends them all the time because they're reliable, quiet, low maintenance, and affordable. From what I've read, Whiteline uses the same ball joints and bushings... so why pay more? Unless you really want the more popular brand name, I guess?

I was waiting for another big sale on the Poly Performance UCAs, but noticed these Whitelines just went on sale, and decided to pull the trigger. I just received them from CSP Racing within 3 days! Super happy with the price and the fast, free shipping. Now, I just need some time to get them installed :)

What lift do you have? I have an OME I am waiting to install, wanted to find some good priced UCA to put on at the same time so alignment can be dialed in right and these might be it. I hope the sale is still going on after you get these installed and report back your results.

Whiteline is also an aussie company that does a lot of stuff for the car world, makes sense that OME/ARB are same or similar. 300 bones....tempting me.

I guess a few people ordered these over the last 48 hours. They are now out of stock on the CSP Racing website (along with 2 other websites) as of this morning. Even Whiteline.com now shows these as pre-order only (shipping in 4-6 weeks).

Good luck with your install! I have the Eibach Stage 1 Lift on my 2023 Tacoma with the front set to the middle clip for about 2.75" of lift. ... But per my note above, it looks like the Whiteline UCAs are now out of stock everywhere :/

I'll follow up once I get these UCAs installed. It might be a few weeks out though.

I ordered these before they went out of stock. I also received them in 3 days. These arms gave me 4 degrees of additional castor. I have a 19 pro with the westcott lift. My caster was maxed at ~.5 degree with the OEM arms, after these arms were installed (no adjustments made, pre alignment) the truck had 4.5 degrees of caster. I had the alignment tech dial it back to ~3.5 degrees and so far are very happy with these. Thanks OP for the heads up on the sale.

I wanted to share how much caster these arms actually gave as there is almost no information about real world gains out there, other than "with x UCAs I got a great alignment!".

FYI CSP now has them listed on sale for $310.99 but as a special order item.

I'm not in the market for UCAs but would definitely consider these Whitelines if I was already eyeballing PolyPerf, OME, etc

Glad to hear you grabbed a set in time! Thanks for posting. Also, happy to hear they aligned well - I was hoping they would after reading some positive reviews of the OME and Poly Performance arms. I'll be installing my Whitelines in a couple weeks :)

    ^ Nice!

Forgot to post an update after getting these on the truck - My shop installed the Whiteline UCAs without any issues! Some of it might be in my head, but I notice less "slop" in the steering, and I'm getting a little more road-feel in the steering wheel, in a good way. Also, these UCAs have been silent so far (zero noises) after a trip to the beach/dunes and dozens of river crossings and dusty/dirt fire roads.

The alignment shop set caster to 3.2* Left and 3.4* Right (to correct for some of the pulling I was getting before the UCAs were installed). I originally wanted to shoot for 4.0* of caster, but I don't have any rubbing right now on 33's and -12 offset wheels, and I don't want to chance it and introduce rubbing on the body mount by tweaking things further. Very satisfied as is!

Finally got to installing my UCA and Lift this week. Got an apt to get my tires installed this Tuesday going with 285/70/17 KO3 load C. Doing some research on alignment to know what I’m up against. Don’t know if I should start trimming now or after tires and alignment. But I’ll be sure to keep y'all updated. Install wasn’t too bad the passenger UCA bolt was a lot harder to get out than the driver side on my truck.

Nice! Clearance will heavily depend on your wheel offset. If those Methods are 17x8.5 with 0 offset, chances are you won't rub at all, even with 285/70/17 tires. I never had any rubbing with my setup (17x9 with -12 offset) until I really pushed the truck off-road, and I finally got some rub.... But, the rubbing is so minor that I'm not going to bother trimming anything until I go with a more aggressive wheel and tire setup.

Also, contrary to popular belief and what's shared on this forum, most high caster non-adjustable UCAs can actually introduce or cause more rubbing with the way they position the wheel within the fender.

Update. I’ve had my tires installed for about 10 days now. They’re 17, 8.5 with 0 offset. I included a picture of my alignment so far no rub. I’m going to take my sway bar off and then I’ll prob get some rub on the trails. Going with a cmc and tune next. But big thanks to this thread for helping me find UCA thank wouldn’t break the bank no excuses on them!

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but it seems like a good place to ask this question.

Are the ball joints in these arms replaceable? If so, is it just a stock upper joint?
