I'm in the same boat. I installed the whitest and brightest that Napa sold, yellow comparing to my led's. I just ordered LED replacement bulbs off of ebay. The color temp is 6000k just like the rest of my led's. I also installed the optilux by hella, claimed to be extreme white, ended up being blue. I'll let you know how it works out. The thing with LED's in a reflector housing is that most led bulbs don't give off light 360deg like a halogen bulb, it causes conflict with the reflectors in the light housing. The bulbs I ordered are cheap, but appear to be 360 deg. I'll keep you posted when they arrive.2BE379A2-3C0D-4E91-B6E6-C9791AFD1C56.jpg

Don't blind oncoming traffic - Use the type of bulb designed for your reflectors.

If your lights are dim and yellow, you might try upgrading your wiring harness and possibly installing higher wattage bulbs - I have done this and am very pleased with the results.

Halogen bulbs with blue glass simply filter some of the light out. Having dimmer headlights in exchange for tryin' to look cool is a bad trade off.

HID and LED bulbs are not suitable for use in reflectors designed for halogen bulbs. Those who say differently are selling something.

That was my original plan. Found these led’s on eBay for cheap and decided to try them out. They appear to have a 360 deg pattern, but I don’t know what the low beams will do. It was worth 10.00, even if they don’t wok . I don’t think the low beams are designed to shine 360deg on a reflector headlamp. I want to see better, my truck to look good, and not hurt on coming traffics eyes. I do care about other people. I’m currently running Napa’s top of the line light. That’s probably what I’m going to end up keeping. Just experimenting with different products out there.

In my understanding, the design conflict is that LEDs and HIDs neccessarily emit their light from a much larger area of the bulb/emitter, compared to the very small filament in an incandescent, and this is what causes the light to be poorly focused.

Not meaning to be such a wet blanket here. Bad headlights are a huge pet peeve of mine. I live near the arctic circle, so all my winter commuting is done in the dark. It seems like every fifth car has a badly done LED or HID conversion.
I'd be interested in seeing some beamshots once they come in

They came in today, and I'd love to show you some photos, but the bulbs don't work at all. It seems our trucks control high and low beam through the ground side, and these bulbs are wired to be controlled by power. In other words they are reverse polarity of what I need. I've emailed the seller to see if he offers a reverse polarity bulb for exchange. I guess I'll wait some more. I did test the bulb with jumper wires, and they do work, just backwards of our trucks. A halogen bulb wouldn't be affected by polarity...not the case for an LED.

There aren't LEDs on the market that will properly emit light thru a halogen reflector. Anyone who tells you so is not telling the truth either because they are trying to sell you something, or they didn't bother to look up the difference. The physics is completely different, and all those facets and shapes inside the halogen housings aren't there for decoration, someone put a lot of time and effort into modeling how the halogen bulbs emit light, and those reflecting surfaces produce the proper cutoff beam pattern.

Throw LEDs in there and you trash all that.

If you want whiter lights, you can get the halogen bulbs that have a blue filter on them. That' technically reduces the amount of light coming out (it's a filter after all), but the light is much whiter.

@crashnburn80 has a thread that does some pretty extensive testing on LEDs in halogen housings. He has several pics of of beam cutoffs.

It's buried in the post he linked to earlier, but here it is:

Since we're in the first gen section, there is a 1st gen version of the ultimate headlight upgrade linked here:

Well looking at the led bulb design that I purchased I was hopeful that it could possibly redirect light by which led’s burn on low beam. There are like 15 LED’s in that one little bulb. Low beam is just a dimmer version, like an added resistor, all the LED’s still burn. So that being said it would most likely blind the shit out of anyone that I passed. I’m not going any further with these bulbs. Haha.
