Which Tacomas have a hood scoop?

Recently I bought a 07 Tacoma and have a question. Through my searches I’ve noticed every TRD sport Tacoma has the scoop on the hood, the one I bought has a scoop on the front but not a sport badge on the Bed. I was wondering if they made Tacoma’s with the scoop without it being a sport. It’s a 07 prerunner double cab LB but not sure if it’s a sport or not.

 

Are there any badges on the bed at all? Think someone just changed out the hood because they wanted the scoop? Or think they changed the bedside decals?

Also although they could have been changed out, the rims can give you a clue too. The 17" alloys came on the sports.

 

Sport and Pro have the scoop. If you have color matched grille/rear bumper you likely have the sport. I'm pretty sure the sport also has a power outlet in the bed.

 

The very back has all the badges, V6 SR5, prerunner all that just nothing on the side I’ll check the wheels thanks

 

Not exactly sure what you mean about the color match but it does have a power outlet in the bed

Painted body color and not chrome.

On an 07 you should have a mechanical rear differential. There will be a sticker on the rear diff indicating that it has a mechanical LSD.

 

Same color as the truck = not chrome

If it has the bed outlet, the previous owner took off the TRD stickers. If it doesn't, then it's an SR5 that had a scoop hood added.

That sure is a sport with the bed decals removed.

 

The Prerunner sports from that era have the SR5 label on the tailgate, but later on that was dropped, I think for the 2012 model year but not totally sue on that.

Probably, previous owner was smart and debadged it.

2007 Tacoma Pre-runner Sport... Look at rear differential, does it have a white sticker with LSD on it? Does it have OEM towing package, does it have OEM oil cooler, does it have transmission cooler, look at alternator, what is amperage on tag?
