I think any 6 lug, 16 or 17 inch wheel should fit

    Any 6 lug.

The vehicle it came off of is pretty irrelevant.

Not sure if the 2nd gen is the same as my 3rd gen. But from what I have discovered is that the center bore is much larger on our trucks. GM, Chevy, Ford have smaller hubs and will not fit.

4Runner and FJ wheels - some if not all of them. I've got FJ steelies for my winter tires and a ton of guys run 4Runner wheels.

Like the guys have said, lots of 6 lugs. I know the rims I sold went right on to a Silverado. You're still going to have to check the offset/backspacing of whatever you're looking at.

I had a 90 chevy K1500 that could fit the wheels of my tacoma. Same bolt pattern but not sure of offset and backspacing.
That same bolt pattern on the 1/2 ton trucks was used by GM for decades

I had a set of rims from a 2011 ford raptor.
Bought an adapter to change the bolt pattern.

I have and ‘05 and the rims were constantly leaking and wearing out my tires. A friend gave me his stock rims from a newer 4Runner. Six lugs. They are 1” larger and look really good. I did have to remove my mudflaps though because they rubbed.
