Eesh, yeah definitely not. They were in from the previous owner. Looks like I'll be replacing both!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Halogen bulbs will be significantly higher performing, I'd recommend the Osram Night Breaker +200s. Tungram Platinums are a little better, but hard to come by right now.

The bulbs in my OP were from my fogs...I think the previous owner used these to match the LEDs in the headlights?....You're saying I should just put halogens back in?

Yes. LEDs do not mimic a halogen and will not work correctly in a halogen assembly designed for halogen bulbs. And in the fogs especially they result in a bunch of glare that makes them seem brighter when looking at the truck, but their output intensity is actually far lower than halogens because they cannot focus. And that glare breaks the beam horizon cut off, which isn't just hazardous to other oncoming drivers but makes the fogs completely worthless in fog and other poor weather conditions for which the lights are intended. The bulbs I mentioned above are the best H11 halogen bulbs on the market, and the 16-19 TRD Tacomas with the high performance wide-angle H11 fogs, have some very good fog lights. Complete waste to put something incompatible in there with them and miss out on all that lighting performance.

Sounds good to me. I am clueless when it comes to lighting. I also just got done skimming your other stickied threads which definitely helps with the explanation as well.

Thanks for the help and recommendation!

I tried those and they lasted 3 or 4 months tops. Such a pain how the “premium” halogens burn out so fast

For 3rd Gen low beam headlights use the Philips H9 swap, brighter and lasts longer. In fog lights you should only use them when needed, which should be minimal, so the short life shouldn’t be an issue.

Premium for performance, and performance has a direct relationship to lifespan.

If you want to extend the lifespan, don't use your lowbeams unless necessary/prudent, and don't leave the headlights turned on when starting the vehicle so they see fewer voltage spikes.

I can’t even remember the last time I turned my fog lights on
