I went with the F133S. It is an upgrade from the older F103s (model numbers have gotten kind of confusing). The stubby nipple is more than enough to direct oil where you want it to go. You can also attach a barbed adapter to the nipple (https://www.fumotousa.com/all-products/mh-10.html) if you decide to go the hose route.

Long nip and it’s still above my TRD skid plate.

Just go with your gut. There really is no wrong answer. And if there was a wrong answer, look at the cost of your potential mistake: it's 32 dollars.

I'm happy with my no-nipple. Others are happy with their long nipple. Go with the nipple that speaks to your soul.

The key feature of Fumotos valves is the controlled oil flow ... open "only just" and you have time to optimally place the oil-catcher. Then open gradually.

The valve on the FJ has no nipple. The nipple pieces on a piece of hose. They screw into the valve.

The Tacoma has a short nipple. I slide a small piece of clear poly hose onto that nipple.

I went opposite. I went no nipple on the Tacoma, and short nipple on the Mazda 3. The drain plug on that one is horizontally oriented and it's a pain to keep oil off the fabric undercarriage shield.
