My '24 Taco came with white Rigid fogs from the factory for $680 more. (It was on the lot that way - I didn't order them.) I have no experience with any other option, nor the OEM fogs that would have been included in the Limited package, so I have no basis for comparison. I guess I like the Rigids - they're quite bright with good side coverage and they certainly look like a "factory" part with perfect fit...but are they worth the price adder...? I'll probably never know unless I can get a side-by-side comparison with something else...

    Yup...
As stated, going with the s2 sports in amber for in-bumper fogs, also with the s1's vent kit in clear....
    I sent you an email.....

I went with the Diode ambers for the same street legal reason. My wife is giving me them for Christmas.

Im open minded but for me when it comes to the DD, I just can't do the look of the orange marker light reflector appearance, just looks to old school / cheap to me....
Yes, the BD's are more costly, but significantly more output, better warranty, imo looks better.....

I actually prefer the look of white and orange versus white, orange and yellow. The three different colors aren’t for me. The DD output is actually yellow, as you know.

Just ordered 3 aux switches from Cali Raised Led....
The Toyota oem factory switches at the dealer are $114 each.....
    Cali Raised, $16 each...

Im learning Toyota parts are outrageously priced...
Yes I was spoiled & got employee pricing on parts, but this is crazy
    Things ive priced at Toyota:
A pillar plastics $300 for both
    sail panels $125 a side...
door edge guard trim kit $175
underseat cold weather liner was either $650 or $750....

I went with the white diode fogs and they are way brighter! I know that they are street legal but I feel as if they are not. Definitely recommend

I know you don’t like them and you keep saying they look orange, I have the DD max amber on my truck with the backlight and they aren’t orange nor do they look orange in anyway not trying to be a dic* but are you sure you know the difference between yellow, amber and orange? Also the DD are anything but cheap looking or cheaply made I’ve had rigid, BD and DD fog lights all made very well but I prefer the DD. So really you can’t go wrong with one of the better fog lights. Good luck with your choice.

I had the Diode Dynamics SS3 pros yellow on my previous truck and I neglected to remove them before I traded. I really liked them. I saw everything at night especially on dark on ramps . Rain, fog , snow , everything. Getting new set for Christmas. I can’t wait. Game changer if you ask me

Edit: Ordered new SS3 pros for my new to me truck. On back order though :(. If I can get them from a local place I might try to cancel and buy from them and no tax, or not……

    Just can’t wait. :pout:

Not sure why the op asked for opinions when he already knew what lights and what color he wanted.

    Cuz its a discussion....
I didn't even know about the dd's before this thread...
Just discussing what others have done, outcome, etc...
You have anything intelligent to add?

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/ There you go now you can read about the fog lights all but yourself. Well in your first post you said you were not interested in diode dynamics so maybe you had heard about them before you started this post. You said you were waiting for the s1 BD lights so it sounds like you knew what you wanted but wanted others to tell you what s great decision you were making. You are making a decent decision if you don't care about having the brightest lights with the best cut offs on the market.

Ok, well maybe I did hear of them but never really seen in person.
    Just from this forum..
From what I do see, im not interested...
Basically wanted to see what else was out there if anything worth considering that im not aware of....
Plan is to run the s1's in the vent pod 4640 lumens total
Then the s2's in the bumper pockets 6320 lumens total

The dd's only provide 2280 lumens total, & they're freaking ORANGE!!!!!
They dont even have a brighter option...

Furthermore, there's nothing in the link you provided for my educational purposes that pertains to my specific application or remotely close to the light in question....
But, here you go, lets compare apples to Pepsi....

Run the whites if you want more lumens.
Brighter is not always better - it depends on what you are trying to see and under what conditions are you are trying to see it.

https://www.diodedynamics.com/stage-series-18-white-light-bar.html has a spec reference sheet down the page.

Frankly don't care what anyone chooses, we all make our own choices. We don't need to debate what is or isn't better unless you've personally tested multiple options in the same environment condition.

I have a deposit down on a hopeful 2025 Allocation. I'm on the fence as to if this is worthy of a $680 upgrade. At first I thought they were a kit and had to be installed after delivery. Good to know they look like a good fit and arrive installed from the factory. Still undecided.

    Lets continue.....
Anyone running an Auxbeam 6 gang. bc60 or similar?
    Happy with it?
    Something else I should consider.....
Was going to get the pre-rigged harnesses, fused, relayed, etc from BD, along with the cali raised oem switches...
By the time I do all that, I would have paid for this....
So ordered my lights with just their "up fitter" harnesses.
share your insight, if you have any....
