    I am brand new here and we have a 2010 Tacoma TRD Sport. It needs some repairs and I am trying to line something up for next month when we will be in the lower 48 with the truck. I sent the VIN and pictures to a couple different body shops and they both came back really close, with all the same replacement parts EXCEPT the back bumper. One said "w/SR5, w/Sport package" and one said "w/o SR5, w/o X-runner". The price difference is over $150 and I only have a week for them to repair the truck, so I need to know who will have the correct bumper. So, my question is, how do I know which one is correct? I understand the "Sport", but am confused about the SR5 and X-Runner. How can I tell if I have either? THANKS!!!

    Howdy, and welcome,

    You have an SR5 TRD Sport, stickers on the bed and the hood scoop you should have up front denote sport, and the SR5 badge on the back means SR5 trim.

    Basically the SR5 has a chrome bumper instead of black, and the sport has a body color matched bumper.

    The X-Runners are the street trucks low and sports car like their bumpers are body matched and include extra areo and styling parts.

    Here's an Xrunner.

    Welcome to TW :wave: The SR5 comes with a chrome rear bumper. The Sport comes with a color matched rear bumper like what you right now. The X-Runner has the same bumper like the Sport BUT it also has a factory body kit attached to it also.

    All bumpers will fit all models, if budget is a concern and you don't mind having a black bumper get the base model one, the one that's listed as w/o SR5 w/o Sport w/o Xrunner

    I've been looking for a base model bumper because I hate chrome. :rofl:

    Thank you all, especially you, Key-Rei!!! I feel so stupid that I didn't ever notice the SR5 on the back. That would have saved me a lot of trouble in trying to find the answer. This forum is fantastic. The w/SR5, w/Sport is actually the less expensive of the two bumpers and my bumper is not chrome, but is color matched to the car (silver) with the black step plate, and we would like the same bumper. My husband actually drives the truck most of the time. He didn't have a clue either though, so I am the one having to do all the research and set things up. THANKS AGAIN!!!

    @Key-Rei,
    Do u mean just the rear bumpers, or do u think the front bumpers are universal on all models as well?

    I have an 06 trd sr5 prerunner that has the painted bumper. Best I can tell if the grill is chrome the rear bumper is. If the grill is painted to match the rear bumper also is. I think that’s Toyota’s attempt at matching chrome on both ends because they don’t have a chrome front bumper.
