    I'm curious how people are mounting their fire extinguisher in their 3rd gen and what sort of hardware do you use.

    I have an RCI bedrack that I can mount on to, but I feel like keeping a fire extinguisher while driving within arm's reach is probably better. Thoughts?

    If you mount it inside the cab, be sure it's super secure. You don't want to get in a rollover and get whacked with a fire extinguisher.

    Haven't mounted it yet, but in the 2020 double cabs there are some really convenient spots behind the rear seat. Out of the way, and out of sight from thieves. And yes, I have had them stolen from my Jeep. I mounted those on the cabin rear wall. Passenger seats folds forward in a snap. But again out of sight out of mind.

    On my old 2nd gen I made a plate that used the outlet bolts and had it just inside the bed;
    It was secure and close at hand.. So far in this truck I've just kept it in the shelf behind the rear seat, I can still get it quickly but it's not out in sight.

    Someone sells a molle for the driver's / passengers seat. Mounts to the front bolts. Too expensive for my tastes but sure looks sweet. @boogie3478 has one

    873E22A1-B54B-420F-ADDC-19737049ED0A.jpg I bought a universal mounting bracket and mounted a small kiddie extinguisher in front of the passenger seat using the two front seat bolts. It’s secure and no one ever rides with me so it fine where it is.

    $10 and you're good to go!
    I've used the same mount in a few different setups and it is still holding strong after 7+ years:

    What hardware are you using to mount them to the rails?

    I use the Rago fab mount. Attaches to a bed rail. Love it, though thankfully haven't had to put the quick release to the test. You have to supply your own hose clamp.

    The bracketeer, I think that’s how you spell it. It’s held in by 4 Allen bolts and adjustable left right and in and out.

    If you do end up getting the same mount as me, you will have to get a few washers to use as spacers. If you look at the front seat 14mm bolts that hold the seat in, the bracket that holds the bolt is grooved in. It’s no problem, just add a few washers and tighten.
