I'm guessing that's not 99% of the forum's cup of tea. Just in case you don't get any feedback on them. Although, I'd be shocked if someone didn't have them.

I considered backlighting the whole grille as well, but I'm trying to keep my exterior accent lighting fairly tame and mild.
I thought this was perfect for what I had in mind, I saw one of them on a Tundra not too long ago.
I wonder if I had the right size if I could just pop the tabs off of the stock one and stick one of these in it's place...
I do electrical work for a living, I can't help it. I'm fascinated. Lol

Mostly just inquiring where to get them, as I'd really rather buy from a US distributor.
The grille doesn't deal with much stress or movement, I don't think it would take much to make it stay put.

Ha I got some of those but never installed them. Planned to one day. But now i kinda think they're a little cheesy. Probably won't. For one I got the cylindrical ones and they don't really fit in the door panel. Theyd have to be drilled into the bottom of the door itself. Which I'm really apprehensive about doing. They make some that stick in the side of the door panel too. But another thing, being lifted, theyd project a huge logo. Ha.

Taking this off topic even further but, I like the idea of these better and might try them out some time. Saw a jeep owner use duals and angled them down closer, to produce two brake lines.

That's kinda neat, but what practical purpose would the lines be for, other than looking cool?
I guess you could take "crossing the line" quite literally with tailgaters then

Btw I think I'm just gonna throw some plexiglass in the oven and then make a mold of my emblem, get creative with my saws and drills, and make my own lighted grille emblem.
It'll be a little bit before I get my Taco back, it's getting repainted and lifted at the moment.

    Just a few LEDs...
I saw these on fleabay. They aren't solid like the one you saw and will allow my backlighting to shine through. I was looking for an amber one but the more I think about it I'm leaning more towards getting one in red so it will match my interior lighting and red LEDs in the headlights while contrasting with the amber backlighting in the grille.

You probably won't find a U.S. distributor in this day and age of online purchasing and even if you did, the part would be from China anyway.

If you do plan to purchase one, make sure you measure the emblem you plan to replace. This particular one is 120mm x 80mm and yes it is a stick-on type that was designed to go on the back of a car. You might be able to fab a back plate that would mount the same as the existing emblem and them attach the lighted emblem to that.

Yeah, it's a little "ricey", but as you can see from my signature, that never stopped me. :D

Haters are always going to hate, but that's their problem.
