2020 TRD Sport Silver. Got rear ended in a parking lot hit and run. Nothing too bad - but the rear bumper got chewed up. I'm not that mechanically gifted by I "think" I can replace what's all scratched/chewed up. Looking for matched OEM parts. I also have parking sensors.

After looking at Toyota parts I think all I need is:

    1x Rear Bumper Step Pad
    2x Rear Bumper Covers

I already replaced a tail light - so hopefully this is something I can do on a Saturday afternoon. Where's a good place to buy these parts? Also any advice appreciated.

    FYI.
    - OEM bumper covers are not painted
    - Bumper covers come with and without a sensor hole. Be sure to order the correct one
    - There are several online vendors that sell painted bumper covers for $300-$400 a pair

You're new here, so you can't post in the BST section, but you can PM folks that have parts there. Also, post up in your regional section. Folks might be giving away parts when they put on an offroad bumper.

Rock Auto.com is your friend. Replaced BOTH ends of the "bumper" (from 2 different hits) they fit and look perfect. Short money! $250+ less than insurance paid me.

I just replaced the right rear on my 2022 after a parking lot accident which killed it and the RR tail light. I actually bought it on ebay for under $100 and it was pre-painted to match. Arrived on the east coast from California in under a week so cannot complain about that. Quality of part and paint job was just fine. One cannot tell any difference from OEM. I replaced it the "EZ" way-I did not remove and take apart the rear bumper. But because of the way it's assembled I was not able to put the metal ''push-clamp'' back in place. (You'll see it when you take it apart) Given you also have the entire bumper step pad to replace you will be disassembling much more and should be able to access the metal push-clamp.

OP, do you have BSM, and if so is it working? The modules are under the end caps and can be damaged easily, or so they say. Damage to those modules may just be a hairline crack and could get water inside.

BTW, mine were chrome, not painted. I put over $300 in my pocket doing it myself. After my $500 deductible.

Thanks. Was it worth it to submit to insurance? I just assumed it would be easier just to pay of the parts without filing a claim.

Insurance paid me around $600+ after my $500 deductible. I bought the parts for around $250.
If you don't need to remove the whole step pad, you can pry it up to get at the bolts. That's what I did. Wedge something under it. I used a flash light so I could see what I was doing. Need a gear wrench!
Also, it was a hit and run so there was no surcharge.

Perfect time to get a steel bumper. Prolly cheaper too!

I've been waiting for someone to hit me so I can fund a tubing bender. Then I can have front and rear bumper with sliders on their dime
