I am looking for a replacement bed for my white 1996 Toyota Tacoma extra cab pickup. Does anyone know if other model years will fit? Where is a good place to find one? Sure appreciate the help.

Best bet is an auto wrecking yard, or find someone parting out their truck.

The beds for the regular cabs and the xtracabs are the same, so that might help expand your search.

Ideally, you'll want to look for one in the warmer/drier climates, otherwise finding one that's not a rusty pile will be a challenge.

If rust is your issue, I would also take this opportunity to inspect your frame...

Check Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and even Ebay might have one close to you. I found a bedside panel on ebay that I couldn't find anywhere else, even junkyards.

you didn't list your location, so it's a bit of a crapshoot for stuff near you. i've at least priced them out from dicks auto parts in middlebury indiana. their prices are a little high, but they take effort to ship rust-free beds in from other states for inventory. most of the other auto yards in the area stick with local beds that already have succumbed to the rust monster, so usually aren't in much better shape than the one's that already need replacement!
