Its a little 3 pronged plastic thing that holds the corner light tab in place. I got tired of ghetto tape holding my corner light on, so i figured its time to replace it.

Anyone know what that thingy is, and where to get a new one

Its part of the headlight, yes.

However, it is removable since it clips into the headlight stem, and still holds the corner light. It performs double duty.

Im just curious if anyone has come across these little grommet doodads before. I really hate using tape to hold my corner light in.

I was going to keep mine, but the 1998-2000 are huge! They take up so much space in the garage.

When I bought my Tacoma both side marker lights wouldn't stay in the grommet. I put a pea sized dab of bathroom silicon in there and pushed the light in. It's been over 2 months now and its still holding tight, I figured it would last a couple of days. Good thing about the silicon is that if you need to remove the light at any point, it will still easily pop out, you'd just have to re-apply. Better than tape on the outside!
