Hello all, first post here. I don’t own a Tacoma yet, I should have either a TRD Sport or Off Road by mid December. I will be upgrading wheels and tires right away, and was planning on getting the 16” matte black wheels that come standard on the TRD Pro, however I can’t seem to find them online anywhere, I can only find the 17” wheels that come with the 4Runner TRD Pro. So, I’m looking for a little guidance on where to purchase these wheels. I’m also curious if anyone puts the 17” TRD Pro wheels on their Tacoma, and how they like it. Thanks for the help.

That link is where I ordered my set in May of 21. These are the TRD Pro wheels off of the 4Runners. They are 17" wheels. If you are looking for a pro wheel that is a 16" you have to get the tacoma TRD PRO wheels.

The 16" Tacoma TRD pro wheels were updated in 2020, so yes there are two different versions. You can order them through any Toyota dealer

I bought my set from Bam Wholesale. Their prices tend to be competitive on Google shopping. Mine were the 2017-2019 variant.

Sorry for the dumb question that I’m sure has been covered hundreds of times, but will 16” wheels with 265/70/R16 tires have less chance of rubbing compared to 17” wheels with 265/70/R17 tires, without any aftermarket lifts, spacers, etc?

Have you tried talking to the dealer where you will be buying the truck? I got mine from the dealer for the same price as anywhere else. I have a sport and they come with 17" wheels. I bought the 17" pro wheels( older version) and they are great. The dealer can have the wheels and even put the tires on for you ready for delivery when you purchase.

I agree about asking the dealer about the wheels you want, they are usually around the 200ish range which is competitive with eBay, Amazon etc and keep in mind that the offset will be different between the 16 and 17 inch wheels

So it looks like there’s are two versions of these wheels, the TRD and TRD Pro, with the pro having a 4mm offset that provides a wider stance. Any
good reason not to get the Pro?

    The 17 4Runner pros are 4mm offset, the 16s are 13mm

I didn’t consider this, but I’m not sure how that would work with different tires. Do you mean they might install the tires I bring them, or just put shitty tires the truck comes with on the wheels?
