Any one have leads on where to buy the entire replacement driver's seat belt in oak color?

Most of the Toyota parts sites do not offer it for sale or they are listed as discontinued.

Mine is shredded and doesn't retract as it should some times. Lays on the floor board or gets stuck in the door, etc.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I initially tried to pick up a driver's side belt yanked out of a scrapped 99 sr5 (mine is 00). I quickly discovered that it didn't fit. I called my local dealer and they told me that I had to provide the VIN as the seat belts aren't standardized and can vary from truck to truck. They also are charging nearly $300 for a replacement! What a pain. There must be a 3rd party vendor that sells replacement seat belts that can be compatible with a specific truck, right?

If this were me....... I wouldn't be trusting some aftermarket copy or a salvaged part with my life.

Seat belts are a serious piece of safety kit.

YOUR LIFE may depend on it.

Do you really want to go bottom end?????

Good point, worth $300 I suppose. I was mainly thinking that if it were the same item getting it from another vendor would be worth it to save a bit of money.

I used Safety Restore to replace the seatbelts in my car last year. I would recommend them, they matched the webbing color perfectly and they cleaned the reactor so the belt reacts way better now. My only complaint would be their communication is terrible, I had a question before I ordered and it took way to many phone calls/texts/emails to actually get a response. But that was small trade off for the quality of the work and price compared to a whole new seatbelt assembly.

The original belt for your truck is discontinued from Toyota unless you order grey. See if you can get your hands on 73220-04070-E1, it's your best chance I think.

Imo. Spend the money for an oe one. Or make sure whomever you get one from or refurbs yours has some sort of warranty. Hate to be in a wreck and the damn thing doesn’t work. Good luck. Remember you don’t want your face being stopped by the windshield.
