It's almost that time for some new tires. currently have 285/70/17 crappy tires that came with the truck, but need something better and a decent price.

Been looking at Nitto Ridge grapplers 116Q load SL, and they are about $211 each.

Comes out to $1,023 with tax and installation and all their BS fees, does this seem like a good price? Can you recommend a better place?

Discount Tire Direct, (discounttiredirect.com) has done well by me. They are a vendor here on Tacoma World. They price match if you find a lower price and they have free shipping and have always shipped quickly. Tirerack.com has the best review and rating system though. I start there to help me narrow down my tire choice before I start price searching.

I'm cheap too and especially in this economy, I'd like to save whatever I could.

Im usually a customer of discount tire, but I gave Amazon a try this last time for shits and giggles. Saved a ton of money with their $15 per tire mounting price, but I'll never do it again. The shops that they go through were turrible.

Always Discount Tire (or America’s Tire depending on where you live). The service has always been great at every store I’ve been to, for new tires, rotations and repairs

Rim & Tire Center in Garden Grove. Been going to them for years, and they have always hooked it up. Plus they're car guys too, and will take special care when installing the tires.

Just bought four tires from discounttiredirect.com yesterday. Needed some for the "other" vehicle in the family, a 2005 Nissan Altima. DTD had them listed for $85 out the door. Found them on another web site for $75.10. Told DTD and they lowered their price to $70 a tire. Road hazard warranty for the tires for their entire usable life was $9 per tire. Since the Nissan will be replaced in the not too distant future and the car will be going to a 16 year old niece, the road hazard warranty was worth it and transferable. Tires should arrive Thursday or Friday.

America's Tire in Orange. Ask for the manager Rudy Flores. Tell him Daniel Gonzalez mentioned him on the Toyota Tacoma forums. That's as good of a deal you gonna get.

i go to America's Tire for the finance program and the sales reps know me so they flex what they can on pricing.

Americas Tire, the ~$25 insurance they offer per tire is worth it IMO. They'll replace it for any reason if it goes flat irreparably, I've had a couple tires torn up offroad that they replaced for free no questions asked
