Would you happen to know where I can purchase 8 connecting rod bolts for an 1998 3rz FE 2.7? My local stealership wants $167.00 for 8 for them. There has to be a more inexpensive way to purchase those bolts so any help would deeply be appreciated. TIA

Are the connecting rod bolts the same for the 3RZ FE and the 22R engine? Has anyone experienced replacing connecting rod bolts? I was in the process of rebuilding my 3RZ FE when I was tightening those connecting rod bolts to 34 ft lbs plus 90 degree when one of them excessively stretched and would not torque down.

Not sure. probably close. That's why I would check bolt and thread size.

    Dirt, miles, and wear.
7/16" is just the 12-point socket size for the nut and overlaps with 11mm.

What rod bolts did you end up going with?:)
ARP for the 22R motors work ok or did you go OEM's?
