Bought a used Tacoma, the front side marker lights do not come on at all, I cycled through all the light cycles and the hazard lights, but neither will light up. Before I start troubleshooting, when should they be on and when should they be off?

edit: 2005 and the amber light on the edge of the truck, not the turn signal light that melts the housing and not the actual headlight bulb.

    First off, which year?

Secondly, do you mean the amber bulbs on the inside near the grill? or the small amber outside nearest the fender.

The corner markers come on with the tail lights. They are small 194 peanut bulbs.

This may aid you in your quest. The lamps are labeled as Parking Lights on the print. If the tail lights are working then these parking lamps should also be on.

What @Bishop84 & @Jimmyh said. should come on with first click/turn of the headlight switch on the stalk.
