I know right? This gives you the mentality of some of the Tacoma owners. They must be woke or something.

I really like Mequiars Hyper dressing in the wheel wells. Once a month, if needed I spray mine with an All Purpose Cleaner and use a long brush to give them a quick scrub and a rinse. Then I go in while they’re still damp and shoot the Hyper Dressing mixed at 4:1. I go and wash the rest of the truck while it settles and come back with a rag to even the streaks out a little. Seems mud and dirt doesn’t stick as much with this stuff on them, not that this truck has been out in mud yet… dust and water yes. The wheel wells in the pics were done about a week ago and driven a couple times in light rain already.

Clearly, I am doing it wrong. I swear I've even used a brush up in there and seems like nothing comes out and has the same appearance when I am done. I'll try some of these tricks, but I don't think I'll ever hit your level, @overlimit That s#it is impressive.

I use AMSOil Mudslinger on my 4wheeler and all the plastic looks brand new and the mud falls right off it with a garden hose.

    DIY Fabricobbler.
Super simple and with 2x results.

Get a gallon can of WD40, and either a WD40 branded or equivalent spray bottle that can adjust the spray pattern from full stream to light mist.

Wash truck as normal, knock off as much mud and shit as you can with whatever water pressure you have.

Once you are done washing said vehicle, move it into the street.

Now using your WD40 spray bottle, use whatever spray pattern you need to completely cover any and all bits in your wheel well area, frame, axle (not brakes), etc.

The WD40 will shed any clinging water left hanging around, and slowly evap leaving a nice clean looking wheel well area. It will also soak into any areas of dirt/grime that your water pressure didn't get during your wash.

Now, here is where it gets good. The next time you get muddy, dusty or just feel the need for a wash, spray down your wheel well, frame, axles etc that had WD40 applied last time with either straight undilutes Awesome or Simple Green.

Let that soak into the old WD40 while you wash the rest of the truck.

When it's time to tackle the wheels/tires and wheel wells, you just hose down the area back there with copious amounts of water to flush all the soap and old WD40 out.

The soap will remove the WD40, which will also remove that stubborn old dirt you didn't get during the previous wash.

Again, move the truck to the street and douse the wheel wells, frame, axles (no the brakes) and your done.

Nope towels, brushes or hand work needed. After a few washes and rinses, you will find that mud and dirt just won't stick anymore and easily wash off with this approach.

WD40 won't hurt anything metal, plastic, rubber or painted.

Just avoid hitting your brakes for obvious reasons.

I just use a tire brush and spray nine cleaner and quickly clean the visible plastic liner and mudflap whenever I clean the wheels. Alot of dirt roads around where I live cause them do get covered in some kind of white dirt so sometimes they look ridiculous on a clean truck lol.

2 bucket system.. 1 for undercarriage and wheels, 1 for paint. Don’t want to wash my cars with dirt.
I use wax-like Rejex on everything that is not porous. It’s essentially boat wax, but works on fender well plastic. I find dust seems to stick to dressed fender wells where Rejex detours it. Adams VRT on everything else black. P&S wipe n shine on the tires.

    A few.
Some Simple Green and a brush to get it cleaned up followed by a little tire spray foam will fix it right up

Clean the wheel wells as usual. The spray in maxima sc1. It's about $11 and comes in a aerosol can. It's for dirt bikes but does a fantastic job of preventing dirt and mud from sticking to wheel wells. It also leaves a nice new plastic finish, not as high gloss as it says.
Application is simple, just spray on.

Why would I have to do it for anyone? Does everything have to be done for someone else. I have had a passion as an enthusiast detailer for the past 18years and its for my own enjoyment.

You're forgetting to clean the tire tread when cleaning the wheel wells.

The dirty tire will fling grime onto the wheel liners. The rocks jammed in between the lugs will fly out to make chips in any of the painted items. Need to dig the rocks out of the tire lugs.
