Got new 2021 Off-road 4x4 and wanted everyone’s opinion on what should be first, wheels and tires or suspension?

    Thanks for input:

You should first drive it. If you don't like it, upgrade in the right direction.

Or come back complaining about MPG or lack of performance.

It depends on what size wheels and tires you want. After a certain size you're going to have to lift it before you can fit the tires on. I did mine all at the same time.

Suspension first that way you can go with 33" tires with very minimal rub issues. Otherwise you're going to go with a tire size that is only a little bit bigger because you did tires first and regret that you didn't do suspension first and got the tire size you wanted from the beginning.
    (Might be talking to myself)

    Breathe.

Then follow bornxbackwards advice. Modding is fun but also a rabbit hole that can spiral very deep very quick.

If the tire doesn't fit stock, will it really fit lifted or will it just not rub until you actually use the suspension?

Save up and do it all at once. Wheels and tires, coil overs and shocks, upper control arms, cab mount chop and be done with it. You’ll thank yourself later.

It would help answer your question if you described your goals and constraints.

Not going to do 285’s, I think I’ll go one size larger than stock. Lift I don’t want to do more than 2 inch.

Daily driver, weekend warrior was thinking a 2 inch lift and one size up from stock tires. I don’t want anything drastic as I have no need for it. I like the look of 285’s but from what I’ve read the cons out weigh the pros.

I suppose i could do it all at once but from what I see as far as wait times on wheels and suspension parts I figured I’d have to do one at a time while waiting for one or the other.

265 75 16 tires have gotten me far more places than a lift would have

Tires and wheels have served me well to start, i only want to replace suspension when stuff starts to wear out
