First, in an effort to explain why I’m asking. I have looked all over the forum to find anyone running 265 33s and have come up empty. Everyone seems to default to the 285 33s(285 70R17) Anyone choose to run 265/75/17 VS 285s? These tires are the same height just not as wide (10.4 VS 11.2).

    I want a 33” tire(32.6) but don’t want to do any cutting.

Getting all the work done at once, running King’s on a 2.5-3” lift, a Toytec AAL in the rear and total chaos UCAs.

Fuel offroad ANZA wheels 17x8.5 -6offset with 4.5 backspacing.

This isn’t gonna be a cheap build so want to get it right, but don’t want to do any cutting.

The shop where I’m getting the work done is on the fence about the size called Toytec to ask and won’t guarantee anything above the recommended 26570R17. But that shorts me about an inch of lift.

    Any thoughts/advice?

Do they make a tire in 265/75/17?

Why not go 255/75/17 or 255/80/17 instead?

I don't think they make a 265/75/17. KO2s do come in 34x10.5r17, which equates to about 265/80/17. They measure 33". I have them with a 3" lift and didn't have to do any cutting.

That’s a good point. And You’re correct. Can’t find a tire in that column. I do like the KO2 34x10.5 option, but ouch...pricey.

Yep..weird pricing on them. But they're the Goldilocks size for these trucks.

You can get 255/75/17 in KO2, KM2 or mud terrain in C load, the KO2 is only a 1/2 inch in diameter from the 285/70/17 ( a true 32 inch tire) and it's less than 47lbs in weight.

255/80/17 is almost the same size as the 34/10.5

I have the same wheels and 3in lift and am running the 285/70/17's with no rubbing and no cutting, just took the front air dam off and removed the front mud flaps.tacoma3.jpg

Nice looking ride. That gives me some confidence to press ahead with 33s. No mud flaps on mine.

Do you have UCAs with that much lift?
Have you been heavy on the trail with them?

No UCA's. No heavy off roading as of yet, just fire roads and moderate trails.
