    Hey y’all
So I’m green as grass when it comes to a good fitment on Tacoma’s for wheels and tires. I have full set of MT’s classic series 15x8
I’m looking to get some 33”s on them but was curious if anyone could tell me what sizes would work to not have them rub. I’m putting my OME springs that’ll give me 2.25” lift and my bilstein 5100 series shocks for the rear. My fronts are Icon 2.25” coils
I’m assuming I’m going to be fine but always wanna reach out for advice before I do it. Would like to stay away from spacers

You may need to do the pinch weld mod, but how much rubbing really depends on which 33's you mean.

    a skinnier tire, like a 255/85r16 usually doesn't rub, but a 285/70 probably will.

That said, I'd keep those alloy 16's and run 255/85r16s.

    Welcome!

Here's a good overview of what comes into play with various wheel/tire combos/sizes on a 1st gen. Take a read through and by all means ask questions - that suspension lift won't matter as far as what fits (at least, as you start exercising the suspension), but it can affect how much you rub on pavement. Most important for you is to understand how backspacing will affect rubbing on the frame/wheel well.

What size tires fit my (lifted) Tacoma?

I'm running 255/85R16, and like @jbrandt says, they are just about perfect IMO. Lots of photos on my build thread of course.

Only my dad is "sir"...

I'm currently running 265/75r16s, but 255's are next on the list.

If you wheel, even with a lift you could still rub if you flex the suspension enough. The bump stops are still in the same position.

I have those wheels on my 98. Any tire you have will rub a little bit on full lock. Not much to worry about IMO.

Welcome to TW! The downside (at least for me) is the selection of 255/85/16 tires seems to be exclusively mud terrain. If any major manufacturer has an all terrain in this size, I haven't been able to find it. Feel free to prove me wrong!
