Wheel fitment help. 2006 tacoma with 2020 tacoma rims

Hey guys, so I’ve recently bought 2020 Tacoma rims to put on my 2006 Tacoma for times when I need to pass safety inspection as the wheels I have now stick out past the fender. I thought these wheels would fit normally as the offset is 30mm(the same as stock wheels for an 06 Tacoma) but if found that the wheels are touching the knuckles of my suspension as soon as I put them on. I do have a 6” rough country lift kit on. Is the lift kit the reason the wheels won’t fit?

 

Yes. Probably. Maybe. Not enough information of your setup to know. Is the wheel itself touching or is it the tire? Got any photos?

 

Yes tire and even some rim touching the spindle/knuckle. No I don’t have pictures right now. I should have taken some

 

That’s weird if they have the same backspacing you’d think they wouldn’t rub.

 

Yes. The lift is the issue. The RC kit requires a min wheel size and offset to clear the knuckle.
