I have a 22 SR5 with the 16 inch dark graphite (pretty sure that’s what they call the color) factory wheels. The center caps have the chrome Toyota logo, but I’d like the logo to be red, I think it would look great. Does anyone make these with the logo in red, or would I (could I) have them painted? Not sure I want TRD red center caps, as my truck isn’t TRD, nor am I sure there are TRD center caps for these wheels.

You should be able to pull the center cap right off and the chrome Toyota logo comes out and you can just paint the logo if that is what you ment

Thanks for the reply, I assumed the center cap was just one piece!

Pull the cap and squeeze the inner prongs and the emblem will detach. I just hit mine with 90% alcohol and sprayed it with a red Krylon for plastic (fusion). It has held up just fine after letting it cure for a couple days in the heat and not fiddlin' with it.

I just recently put TRD emblems in their place that I bought online. And now, Just a couple days ago, I bought a new set of 2020 TRD Pro Forerunner wheels with TRD caps.

'21 OEM's. I PlastiDipped the bajeezus out of them and the caps. They have held up very well! I like them a whole bunch more and now that I lived with them painted for over 5 months, I'm thinking if my local powder coat shop can assure me a nice smooth finish, I'll get them done once I put on my new wheels. Probably throw a set of Cooper S/T's on them and keep the Discover AT3's on the new wheels.

I popped them off and painted mine as well. Well, plastidipped, anyway. Very easy to do!

I think the SR wheel is a sharp design. The 21 OEM is too if you get the right combo of color & finish.

The Pro's I'm getting are dark gunmetal. Looking forward to see how they stand out. My biggest beef is as good as the black wheels look, once you get 10 yards away from them, you see nothing of the design interest.

The machined surface on the OEMs just doesn't fit for me but I really like it once blacked out.

    Hi,

I got of my car today at the shop and found that one of my wheel caps was missing, so I'm looking for a replacement. They are 16" TRD wheel caps, and I would prefer either blank or TRD logo ones. Here are mine:

I had red trd center caps on my stocks, but have bought new wheels and tires since then. It looks a lot better than the chrome imo

Did you rough them up at all before you sprayed them, or just cleaned them up with alcohol?

I just hit then with 90% isopropyl alcohol. Had I planned on making it permanent, I would have scoured the shine off but I knew it wasn't going to be long term. The Fusion stuck just fine.

Does anyone have a part number for the Toyota emblem chrome center cap logo? Thanks for your help.
