    Hello!

I'm trying to get an idea of what rim/tire size combo works best for an overland Tacoma build (5VZ).

Currently, the truck is using the Bilstein suspension package (Stock TRD) but will eventually be riding on some coilovers (Which ones I haven't decided, but I'm expecting a 2-3" lift).

I've heard 33" tires will rub on the front and rear without going to an LT conversion with fiberglass fenders or some FAT spacers (Looking for robust and reliable).

So what are your guys' opinions on a 32" tire with 16" rims? If I go with 32s, what rim width would be optimal? Will I need spacers or custom fenders?

    Thank you!

    4 run, 2 don't
You can run 33s and do the pinch weld mod.

    Plenty of people run either.

Comes down to budget, type of driving, etc. as you'll get many different suggestions.

Personally, I run 235/85/16 but will be switching to 255/85/16 for my next set

Here's a good post about what goes into choosing wheels and tires, and what affects various things like backspacing will have on the amount of work you need to do in order to clear them. The bottom then lists the general work for various sizes.

Take a read, and by all means, ask questions!

What size tires fit my (lifted) Tacoma?
