What is this plastic clip piece called? I wanted to order 2 the piece they hold down are rattling I noticed the dash rattle noise a while ago while driving, finally figured out what it was (maybe). Both sides are loose and missing tabs on back of piece.

Generically, it's called a trim fastener. Toyota's name for it seems to be "clip."

It looks like a Toyota part number 90467-06133-C0, but I don't know enough about your truck to be sure. Go to parts.toyota.com, enter your VIN, and look in the Body > Cowl Panel and Windshield Glass section to verify it's the right part or to find the right part. https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/clip-9046706133c0

OffroadToy, he might get lucky with a generic one, but every time I've tried that, the fastener never fit right. I have a whole bin full of them. They're always not quite the right size. So I just buy the OEM ones now.

    A stupid plastic clip!

I just used a zip tie. But you can go to any automotive parts store and get them for a few bucks.

Cheap enough and you'll have plenty of spares.

The best info I could find for you is the first five digits 55781G [IMG]

That said I have used zip ties but I don't think I have anything in that slot right now. Good Luck!

That website is amazing I never knew about it. That seems to be the thing they never fit just right form auto store but i was thinking maybe zip tie or nut and bolt to hold it maybe instead I can never find like just 1 of something.

The only reason I want to fix it is it sounds like there is a rattling in the dash when I drive and I am thinking that is what is causing it.

I bought this set and I've used a few of the clips but I can confirm that set does not contain a clip that will work in that slot. The hole in the fender was too small.

Looks good! Don’t forget to add blue loctite don’t want that thing vibrating itself off, and getting itself jammed in a place you cannot reach only for it to rattle forever and ever.

I've been using a toyota clip assortment I bought from Amazon about 6 years ago. The only clip that I've needed so far that wasn't in the kit were the clips for the stereo bezel. It's a great investment on an older tacoma since many of the old clips are broken already or break when you try to take them apart.
