What's the Best Amp for a JL 10TW3 that's not going to break the bank!

Let me ask this in a different way.

What Watts/RMS should i be looking for to power this sub woofer correctly,it has a range of 100rms-400rms with a peak power of 800. Also how should this be wired to the Amp? Any suggestions would be helpful. Just wanna buy the right amplifier on the first go around!
    Thanks!!!!!

I think this might be like asking what the best sneaker or soda is. Everyone has an opinion, but few have actally tried more than 1 or 2. I say you go to crutchfield, put in the features and price range and let the feedback be your guide.

I am running a Hertz HDP5 with my 10tw3 and love it. Plenty of power and it's a 5 channel to run everything else I have.

Im all about brand affiliation/matching. So I would get either a used/older model/ brand new JL amp that is rated around 300-400w rms.

That Sundown you have Aaron will take 750w and more. You'd be fine with my first suggestion.

I gottcha on that, i was referring to the OP's sub choice. His JL TW10 says 100-400rms. That is where i would get a JL rated at the higher end of that RMS spectrum.

    Stock as shit!
I push one 10tw3 (in parallel at 2 ohms) off the sub channel of an XD700/5 and I'm adding another 10tw3 next week which will be run the same way off an XD300/1. The one I have on the 700/5 is at about 35-40% of the gain. It gives me a thorough back massage at 3/4 of the head unit's volume.

That being said, I would suggest an XD300/1 or 500/1 if you are just pushing a sub. 300 bucks is all I spent on my 300/1. My local shop price matched the company's price that I listed below. If you are doing a system with aftermarket mids and tweeters the 700/5 is a great choice. Check out www.creativecaraudio.net

They are clearing out older "new" stuff at some great prices. Hope this helps.
